An exhibition for Class 4 of the Jongno-gu English Calligraphy course was held at the Callipia Gallery. Under the guidance of artist Kim Eun Young, the students showcased the skills they had honed, and visitors could see works filled with the effort of the past months.
The works on display ranged widely, from pieces that bring out the beauty of classic letterforms to original creations with delicate illustrations. Looking over their own works and the descriptions beside them, the students felt a deep sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
Kim Eun Young, the students, and their families and friends attended the exhibition, adding to its meaning. Children came along too, making it a joyful occasion for the students to share their work and to encourage and celebrate one another.
The exhibition showed the rich results of Class 4 of the Jongno-gu English Calligraphy course. The participants' pride and the passion in their works have raised our hopes for Class 5 all the more.

The Language That Connects Us
Han Kang's 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature Banquet Speech · Lim Kyung-hwa
A transcription, in elegant Copperplate, of the banquet speech by Han Kang, winner of the 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature. The piece gives her message a visual form in a script that is quiet yet strong. The speech moves from a formal opening to personal memories and then to a deep reflection on literature, and that flow is carried by the restrained, graceful rhythm of the calligraphy.
